Stanford Law School 1971. A partner in San Francisco/Silicon Valley Firms for over 30 years. Served as General Counsel of a software company for two years, primarily involved in managing outside counsel on important litigations. Representation of small, medium and large businesses in a wide range of litigation matters, including extensive work involving intellectual property, patents, copyrights and trade secrets. Representation of individuals regarding business, insurance, investment and property matters.

Conducted more than forty trials and arbitrations, and handled more than 20 appeals in California and Federal courts.

Admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Appeared in federal district courts throughout the country.

Since 2000 I’ve appeared for clients in over 10 complex class actions to contest the fairness of a proposed settlement. This work resulted in improved results for the class in the majority of cases. It also resulted in the signal decision of Literary Works in Elec. Databases Copyright Litig. v. Thomson Corp., 2011 U.S. App. LEXIS 17026 (2d Cir. N.Y. Aug. 17, 2011)
